Geek Hack 60 Mechanical Keyboard

I have liked to theme my Linux window manager for quite some time. I usually choose an image and generate my colors (used for my terminal and bar) from those found in the image. I have been unimpressed with the existing programs that generate colors from images, so I wanted to take a look at doing it myself.

The BCSH team made it into another article. The article is about the ‘Brain Controlled Smart Home’ team, and the project we did for Senior design.

I recently started playing with building a hybrid cryptography system written in Go. Basically you encrypt a random symmetric key with public key cryptography after using that key to enctypt large data. This gives you the benefit of Confidentiality, Integrity (VIA signatures), and also increases the speed of the crypto by not using the slower public key crypto on the larger data. You only have to use the slow crypto for a small AES key.

RMCCDC is a cyber defense competition hosted by Regis university annually. CSU’s security club ‘Hashdump’ sends a team to compete each year. This post describes the competition and the accomplishments of CSU this year.

Scratch Build

I have been interested in a mechanical keyboard for quite a while, but finding my favorite has been hard. Everyones tastes are different, so instead of buying another ‘one size fits all’ keyboard, I decided to build my own perfect model.

Recently I started work on a project called “Brain Controlled Smart Home” for Senior Design at CSU. Senior design is basically a chance for students to work in teams on a project of their choosing. You can follow along with our progress here.
